Surgeon working with trans people visited the Centre

Dr. Miroslav Djordjevic, who is a part of the experienced Belgrade team working with trans people, visited the Centre on Friday, April 26th. He selflessly devoted a part of his time to meet the members of the trans support group within the LGBTI Centre.

Dr. Djordjevic has many years of experience and has performed over 400 surgeries on trans people who were going through the medical procedures of the gender confirmation process. He himself is a great supporter of the trans movement in Serbia and abroad, and also works on initiatives and fights for the adoption of laws in favor of trans people.

A part of the trans support group members attended the meeting, together with new members, several psychologists, as well as supporters and activists. They had a unique opportunity to ask questions, get information regarding the surgical procedures, but also regarding initiatives and laws in Serbia.

Dr. Djordjevic expressed support for trans and in general, the LGBTI community in Macedonia, saluted the fact that the group exists and urged the group, together with the supporters, to keep on fighting in order to get to the necessary legal changes, adding that he and his team are available for cooperation with experts and activists from our country.
